- Large print: grid letters and numbers are at least 24 point (word search letters 30 point), and instructions are at least 18 point.
- Black on white, with no color and no images, so it prints clearly on a basic home printer. The answer keys use light grey shading.
- Checked like every pack: each sudoku has exactly one solution, every listed word is in its grid, the maze has exactly one path, and every answer is worked out again from the puzzle.
How to play a word search
Ten words that fit the page's theme are hidden in the grid. They run in a straight line across, up, down or diagonally, and they can read forward or backward. Circle each word you find and tick it off the list. A pencil works best, because you can erase a wrong circle.
Tips: start with the longest word, look for an unusual letter like K or W, and try reading the grid backward if a word won't turn up. Our large print word search page has more tips, and each puzzle type has its own page with rules and tips.
How to print it at full size
- Paper: US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches). Everyday copy paper is fine.
- Scale: choose Actual size or 100% in your print window. A smaller scale shrinks the letters.
- A4 paper: choose Fit to page. It will print a little smaller.
- Quality: "Normal" or "Standard." Draft mode can make the letters faint.
- Color: black and white is all you need.
- Print it again: you can print any page as many times as you like for yourself and your household.
No printer at home? Most copy shops and many public libraries will print a PDF for a small fee. Bring it on a phone or a USB drive, or email it to the shop.

Is the sampler really free?
Yes. There's no card and no payment. You enter your email address and we send you a link to the PDF.
Why do you need my email address?
To send you the download link. That's all we use it for, unless you also tick the optional box for club emails.
Will I be signed up for the club or charged later?
No. The sampler doesn't sign you up for anything, and we never ask for a card. The club only starts if you choose a plan and pay at checkout.

Is the sampler the same as a monthly pack?

Yes. Print it as often as you like for yourself and your household.
