Printable Mazes for Adults

Our printable mazes for adults are full-page square mazes with bold black walls and wide paths, about half an inch across, so a pencil line fits comfortably without touching the walls. Each one has a clearly labeled START at the top left and FINISH at the bottom right, and software checks that there's exactly one way through. You get 4 of them in every monthly Large Print Puzzle Club pack, printed at home on US Letter paper.

What our mazes look like

  • One maze per page, about 7 inches across, filling most of a US Letter sheet.
  • Bold walls. The walls are thick black lines that stay easy to see.
  • Wide paths. The corridors are about half an inch wide, a little more on the smaller mazes, so there's room to draw without bumping the walls.
  • Clear START and FINISH labels in large bold type, at the openings in the top-left and bottom-right corners.
  • Plain grid style. Our mazes are made of straight corridors on a square grid. No pictures to decode, no tiny passages and no color.
  • Short instructions in at least 18 point at the top of the page.

These are grown-up mazes, not kids' activity sheets

Many printable mazes online are made for children: cartoon shapes, very short routes, or a picture of a mouse looking for cheese. Ours are designed for adults who simply like a clear, satisfying puzzle:

  • Each maze is a square grid of 10 × 10 to 12 × 12 cells, with long winding routes and plenty of dead ends.
  • There are no pictures or characters, just clean lines.
  • The difficulty comes from the route, not from squinting at thin lines.

How to solve a maze

Start at the opening marked START and draw a line along the paths to the opening marked FINISH, without crossing any wall.

Tips

  1. Trace with your finger first. Explore a route before committing to it in pencil.
  2. Work backward. Starting at FINISH and heading toward START often reveals the route faster, because dead ends look different from the other side.
  3. Mark dead ends. Put a small x at the mouth of any dead end you find so you don't go down it again.
  4. Use a pencil. You can erase a wrong turn and keep the page tidy.
  5. Print a spare copy. Mazes are fun to do twice. Print the page again for a fresh try.

What "exactly one path" means

Every one of our mazes is a "perfect" maze: there are no loops, every corridor is connected, and there is only one route from START to FINISH. A separate checking program confirms this for every maze before a pack goes out, so you never meet a maze with no way through, or with two routes that make the puzzle too easy.

How to print mazes clearly

  • Paper: US Letter (8.5 × 11 inches). Ordinary copy paper is fine.
  • Scale: Choose Actual size or 100% in your print window to keep the paths at full width.
  • A4 paper: Choose Fit to page. It will print a little smaller.
  • Quality: "Normal" or "Standard," not "Draft," so the walls print solid black.
  • Color: Black and white is all you need.

You can print any maze as often as you like for yourself and your household.

Maze questions

How big are the paths in your mazes?

About half an inch wide, a little more on the smaller mazes, when you print at 100% on US Letter paper. The walls are bold black lines.

How hard are the mazes?

Moderate. Each is a 10 × 10 to 12 × 12 grid with winding routes and dead ends. They take some exploring, but there are no tricks: the paths are wide and the walls are clear.

Is there only one way through?

Yes. Every maze is checked by a separate program to have exactly one path from START to FINISH.

Where do I start and finish?

At the opening marked START in the top-left corner. Finish at the opening marked FINISH in the bottom-right corner.

Are the solutions included?

Yes. The answer key at the back of each pack draws the route through every maze.

How many mazes are in a pack?

Six in each monthly pack. The $12 gift pack and each bonus pack have four, and the free sampler has one.

Are these mazes for children?

They weren't designed for children. There are no cartoons or pictures, just clean, full-page mazes with wide paths.
